Hope someone will know what im trying to say.

The system tray where it shows all the programs running and shows the time has been acting really odd the last two nights. Last night it was not that bad, what it did was when i put my mouse over one of the icon's the font was really really big. Now today about a hour after boot up of the pc my network connection icon popped up which is odd as it usually there once i start the pc along with all the other icons. then i went to abject the volume and i clicked on the little speaker icon and it popped up and i made my changes but the box didnt leave once i was done, it said on the screen and where every i would put my mouse at and click another volume box would pop up and before i knew it i had atleast 8 or more of them volume popup boxes. Im not sure whats going on but the last two days the system tray has had a mind of its own.

by the way all them boxes are still on my screen

How often do you reboot your system? When was the last time you did a clean install?

Did you run "SFC /scannow" in the run command box?

I have read somewhere that microsoft actaully recommends rebooting the machine at least 1 time per week.
