We use natural gas, but I've also got a rather nice wood stove insert for my fireplace and it's been running non-stop for about a month now. It really helps take some of the load off the boiler when the temps drop below zero.
It's actually gotten slightly colder over the last hour, it's -21.1 outside now.

I've often thought about insulating my downstairs closet and adding an intake and exhaust fan to cool it to outside temps, then putting all my computer equipment in there. It would probably work quite well, but sadly my boss vetoed the idea. She always vetoes the good ones, kind of takes the fun out of things sometimes.

We have 3 floors of water circulated in floor tubes fired off a nat gas boiler, toasty 70 degrees inside.
Heard it was -78 degrees in Tok Alaska yesterday. Now that can make your yam bag shrivel and fall clean off. |
I was going to ask you what the temp was down there spire, it can get pretty brutal on the peninsula.
