Yeah... good idea!! I had 4 drives in there while I was making the switch, 2 RAID - 2 IDE... Now I have the two drives in RAID, and one drive on IDE that will be used for archiving. In addition, I just got this new LAN/USB storage device to review, and its 80GBs may be dropped into my network and configured for maintaining all my pcs!!

It's also a good idea to backup the Registry; sometimes just restoring that from a good copy will repair an otherwise fubar install.

BB,eventually you may want to set up your spare drives a backup to the raid, sort of like a mirror but have it automaticaly make an bootable image of the raid every night.
then the most you could lose is a day of work, and you should be able to restore the raid in minutes if needed
