ok I just realized I don't have the buy wireless adapters for each unit. I could get a new router and use the old router (WRT54G) as a wireless bridge and plug the devices in my living room there via RJ45, as the price of a new router is equal to or cheaper than buying a wireless bridge and much much cheaper than wireless adapters which will only work with the specific brand I plug it into anyway ($75 for the Sony one, yecccchhh....).
I'll figure out what to do from there and see if DLNA is fast enough to serve 1080p streaming with Wireless G. |
