Yeah, some of these apps are hideous. I know buddies of mine that have a couple of these iPhone apps, haha. Personally, I would rather fill my iPhone up with cool, fun, useful apps and it's really easy to do so...
In my search to fill up my iPhone with great apps, I stumbled onto the site, http://www.toptenphoneapps.com This site has like 10 "Top Ten Lists" for different types of iPhone apps and users. It's a pretty sweet site and it looks like they're going to be adding lists in the future. I know that I have a bunch of apps listed on the site and they seem to be on top of the ball in the iPhone app world. Since finding this site, I have downloaded a few apps that they suggested and they're really cool apps. I especially enjoyed the iPhone Apps for Travelers Top Ten List @ http://www.toptenphoneapps.com/iPhone_Apps_for_Travelers.html I'm just about to go on vacation and a couple of these apps are really going to come in handy and should enhance my vacation for relatively no money!
I would definitely check out this site if you are interested in filling up your iPhone with fun and useful apps.
