| For dual channel memory configuration, the memory should be set in a specific order, depending on the motherboard. The memory slots for most mobos are color coded and you can look up the slot combinations. If I remember correctly, my old Nforce2 mobo was able to do dual channel in slot combinations: 1&2, 3&4, 1&3, 2&4. I would imagine it would be the same for most other motherboards as well |
