I cringe when I see the fair weather riders wearing shorts and sneakers. I wore sneakers when I first started riding, until one day I arrived home from work and discovered some road debris had bounced up and neatly sliced my right shoe nearly in half. I wore steel souled/toed boots after that. |
I wore full coverage year round including boots and always had people (some were "riders" also) look at me like I was nuts. Always said I rather sweat than peel!
