Hey, I resemble that remark
One year I rode daily from March 1st to Dec.1st. I bought myself a one piece Rain suit and a pair of flexible slip over rain boots. A good heavy leather jacket, gloves, boots, and the best full face helmet I could afford. Thermal long johns, a scarf, and insulated gloves for colder weather.
I cringe when I see the fair weather riders wearing shorts and sneakers. I wore sneakers when I first started riding, until one day I arrived home from work and discovered some road debris had bounced up and neatly sliced my right shoe nearly in half. I wore steel souled/toed boots after that. |
