The new iPhones are announced (of course). They look great, but I won't likely be upgrading until next year's version (I have a 3G now). I wonder if by next year they will have OLED. If so, we may see Apple implement one of their patents - to put a video camera behind the screen. They may go with a normal front facing camera first. In either case, Video-phoning/iChat will likely not be implemented until 4G is widely available.
I am looking forward to 4G, as I believe Bell in Canada is going to move to the standard as well. This would introduce some potential competition for Rogers on the iPhone, and that has to be a good thing for us. |
