As someone said in a previous thread, it would be easier and cheaper to go with a single card solution. The cheapest price on Newegg I found for a 3870 was around $79.99. You could just get an HD 4870 for less than the price of two 3870s now. If you need more power later on, you could just add another one but I'm sure a single 4870 would be able to handle anything on the market right now.
If you still want to use crossfire though, I'd opt for two HD 4830s rather than two HD 3870s. |
