Thanks for the info anonemus. 
I think I'll give the Augidy at least a try, as at the bottom line, it's really up to me to decide which sound card to use (the Audigy 2 or the onboard one).
I'll see if I can notice any difference and/or improvement in sound using my Audigy 2 over the onboard one, and if so, I'll keep it. If not, I'm not going to put it there just to collect dust and block the airflow to my Video Card...
