I would stay with your current setup. Crossfire (and SLI) configurations have their own quirks compared to single card setups. The performance boost rarely goes above an additional 50%, and some games don't deal with dual card setups well. I had a Geforce 6800 Ultra SLI combo a few years back and had to disable SLI for a few games to get them stable.
If you do go Crossfire, make sure the cards are at least as fast as your current one. I'm pretty sure the HD4650 is marginally slower than the 9800GT. You would see some performance improvement with 2x HD4650 when Crossfire performs optimally, but not that much probably. |
