Ok, I'm confused a bit here. Not just in the way BB & linder were, cause I was there at first too...

I'm not much of a fisherman (only kind I find fun is the deep sea kind), and have never owned a "Yak" (either the boat kind or the animal kind). However.... How do you fish out of that thing? Where does all the gear, fish, and most importantly BEER go?

The fantail of the yak has a round notch for a 5gal bucket to put your catch. You just pull the bungee cord back and place your bucket. Right behind the seat rest are two pole holders, and on the console right in front there is a mount for another pole holder. Most folks add an anchor rig with a trolley to run the spar point to the bow - which I'll add here soon. The use of a hand net for pulling in fish make life easier, less likely to flip it over. The front hatch can hole a small sleeping bag/blanket and/or food. I mostly fly fish, so I only need a small fly box. When I bait fish with a casting rod, I only take what I need - spare hooks, bobbers, can of worms/salmon eggs/grubs/etc. Plenty of room..

The weight capacity of mine is 325-350lbs. ..so I can float all I'll need to fish and camp overnight with. Food, blanket, frying pan, water, bucket, poles, gear, net, paddle, pistol, etc..

Fishing - just like you would from a canoe, motorboat, or any other boat.. Find a spot and cast.. Except with the yaks you can get into places other boats cant get to.

Beer - illegal to have alcohol on a boat in PA.

Rigged sorta like the image below.
