Seriously, this is not a tragedy... not appealing per se but even someone with salmonella poisoning (much like E. coli) is rare considering that it is a part of our everyday lives (and also unlikely to kill... at least less so than the flu). Only particular strains cause any pathology and that can be easily eliminated in 165 degree Fahrenheit (which is just a little hotter than the 135-140 degrees in a typical water heater). Just avoid peanut butter (since aspergilis is also scary) |
