My WinXP SP3 detects only 3GB of my 2x2GB DDR2800 RAMs.

Shouldn't Vista SP1 make all 4GB visible?

Like Doc said, a 32bit OS will only detect about that 3.25GB, even Vista. You need either Vista 64 bit or XP 64 bit to see all 4 gigs. Aside from that I would get a decent aftermarket cooler before overclocking too much. There are quite a few decent coolers out there that should fit whatever budget you might have.

I read about this beforehand, that Vista (w/o SP1) will only report 3.25GB. So I assumed XP will report my 4GB as 3.25GB. But it only sees 3GB. Oh, well. Will Windows7 32-bit see all 4GB?

By the way, I was able to OC my 3.2Ghz P4 to 3.8Ghz on stock cooling with no problem Smile
