If it's the SH-S223, I've got two of them and they work pretty well. Club CD Freaks seems to think they aren't to bad either, not great but solid, off course those guys over there sleep with their BenQ and Liteon drives so them saying they "aren't bad" is probably the highest praise they can give. 
I should also add that I paid about $35 each for mine and still think it was a good deal, so at $7 a piece they were a steal.
