We had a post office box for years before they actually started delivering mail in Sitka, AK where I was born. PO Box 297, still remember the number. Most small towns in AK are like that. That's why I don't live in Alaska any more, I live in Anchorage. Four years of college in California taught me to appreciate stores that don't close at 6pm and are open 7 days a week, as well as being able to drive to another town and have more than 3 choices of restaurants when we want to eat out. I also like the whole idea of having movie theaters with more than one screen, fresh milk.........................the list goes on and on. Small towns are great, but when you best friend is married to the girl you dated in high school, they can be just a little toooooooooo small |
Hell, they roll up our sidewalks in my town here in PA at 5pm.
Want to spend money on a Sunday? . it'll be either at the grocery store, Dollar Store or convenience store - or drive 20 miles south, east, or west to the nearest Walmart/Kmart/etc. |
