It will probably add some restricition to the lines, but the question is... Will it matter? Pumps are generally oversized for water cooling, so losing a bit might not matter.
One way around it is to adapt up a tubing size or two around the valves so the cross sectional area inside the valve is equivalent to the tubing.
But I would say it isn't worth it.
