I still have the old one, 7, which I obtained free through this very web site.  Works great. I've kept the same OS Load across 3 or 4 hard drives. I had my original, single disk install, then I changed up to using the onboard sata raid with 3 HDD and that didn't work too well for performance so I went to a raid-1 which was OK but not wonderful and my current install is back to a raid5 using an adaptec 3405 card on the PCI-X slot. Still not wonderfully fast performance, but better than the onboard raid and I still have excellent data protection and the tools to manage it. |
