Just in case there are some Vietnam Vets here you'll enjoy this
For those who were not Charlie wrote in and about the vernacular of the bush trooper. He was a reporter that carried that his manual typewriter with him, everywhere he went in the field.
Charlie was there for it all and never depended on the MACV "Afternoon Follies" out of Saigon for his material. You only find ONE "Charlie Black" during your life. He was that unique!
There were no computers around when Charlie wrote so there`s no "archives" of his writings. Only recently, his son-in-law learned of his history and began uploading all the articles he wrote, that his wife had saved, unknown to the rest of the family. Thanks to him, we get to accompany Charlie through the bush and on missions, through firefights and good times. Charlie could make ya laugh at the worse possible moment
