You can also build your own UPS and power your whole house, and charge your neighboors per volt per hour durring extended outages.

I would be scared to know how much that would cost though. Definatly an arm and a leg, and you'll probably loose other body parts if you get electrocuted durring construction.
I have a UPS that lasts for 5 minutes, when we had that big blackout, it was 12:00 when the power went off again so I had to hurry up and get to bed before the computer shuts off because it was pitch black and I could not see a thing. I need to daisy chain a few together. |
