A couple(2-4) months ago I had the need to pickup a new 22 rimfire rifle. A friend's kid was invited to a church group youth shoot, and my only 22 I had was so ungodly ugly that I wont take it out in public. ..reserved for shooting rabbits and squirrels from my kitchen window. The group shoot went well, her son is only 74lbs and 4'-9" or so but a tough bugger.. plays on the JV football team at school with kids 2-3+ times his size/weight. He put plenty of holes on paper and even hit a few clays with my 12ga hammered shotgun.
Back in the mid '80s my dad purchased a Rossi pump 22 modeled after an early 1900's Remington or Winchester. However, no matter how much begging I did, he wouldn't sell it to me. He said he'd leave it to me when he died, but I'm not in that big of a hurry to get it that way.. lol Just recently Taurus bought Rossi and continued production of the pump 22's. I found one in a local shop for cheap - SOLD!
Shoots 22 rimfire shorts, longs and longrifle really nicely. Yard varmints beware!!
