This is interesting
Sysmax (global computer/Tiger direct) is buying the last bits of CompUSA (16 stores and the CompUSA website) and will continue to operate it as CompUSA.com.
Probably got it at a good price, but they missed the biggist value of buying when they still had 103 stores around the country. I'd buy more from CompUSA/TD if I didn't have to wait for overpriced, slow shipping (or VERY overpriced 2 day) and tricky rebates.
I'd probably do the rebates, IF I could pick it up locally same day, an return it if defective/not as advertised. (one of the reasons I hate web/by mail shopping) |
