Hi guys, some fresh meat right here.

After hours and hours of experimenting I'm finally turning to you guys for some serious help. I've been reading this thread a couple of times just hoping for some of your tips to work, but no success so far. With a little hope this is gonna be a piece of cake for you guys.

Here's my story:

About a week ago i bought my own first put-together-yourself-system. It went kinda smooth, had to change 2 motherboards though, wich was not my fault(!). Finally i got a ASUS Striker Extreme with my Q6600 G0, my 4x1gb PC6400 800mhz memory and a beautiful 8800GT 512mb. Had som problems with the OS installation but I sorted it out and has been up and running for some days now.

Overclocking:

Since this was my first "real" computer (had a couple of other brand-s#!7 with really limited overclocking capabilities) i was going to try to overclock my CPU. Has been reading alot about overclocking on different forums and I got the beef, BUT, whenever i set my QDR to over 1200 (over 300 FSB) my system starts acting up. It won't boot properly and if it does it's forcing me to reset my BIOS settings to default. I have tried every god damn thing i could come up with myself, and a couple of things that other people came up with for me, no luck! I'm therefore really hoping that you guys can give som new ideas.

Here's my rig:

ASUS Striker Extreme BIOS: originally some old 10xx blabla crap, updated to 1305 and recently downdated (?) to 1301 with the hopes that it would work better, it didn't.

Intel Q6600 G0 with a Auto-Vcore on about 1.21v with a Thermalright SI-128 and a Noctua 120mm fan

Corsair PC6400 800mhz 4x1gb modules

4xSata-drives, 8800GT 512mb, PCI-soundcard SupremeFX, 1200W PSU.

I don't know exactly what kind of information you guys need to help me so just let me know and I'll get you printscreens or whatever for everything you need to know.

I've already tried to remove 2 memory modules when i read that the Striker had some problem with 4 modules. Didn't do much good either.

Last of all, sorry for my bad english and i would be deeply greatful to whoever can help me.
