Thanks to Jynxx, Everest really is a nice tool and it works perfect with Vista Ultimate 64.
For all those Asus Striker Extreme fans, I found my problem with it. I had major problems with booting. Had to turn my computer on and off a lot of times before it really worked. The errors were with memory or CPU and I couldn’t have more than two memory modules installed! It seemed that all these problems disappeared when I changed my 500W NorthQ PSU to a Thermaltake Toughpower.
To be sure that the problems really disappeared, I changed my 2 x 1GB memory modules to 4 x 2 GB and there are NO problems so far.
In the same move I changed my chassis to at Thermal Kandalf LCS with built in water cooling. I don’t know much about water cooling, but this system seemed to be idiot proof, so I managed to get everything up and running.
Clocked to 3 GHz, and under full load of all kernels my q6600 keeps pretty cool. I haven’t seen it reach 50c yet, but it very close. Another good thing about this new water cooled setup is that it is pretty silent. My god my air cooling setup was noisy! _________________ --------------
