Yea, besides they make so many tracks and only end up putting several onto the CD. The best might not make it because of somebody's personal taste.
This way, they can release all the tracks they do and let the public decide whether they like them or not. And maybe make a little more money off those tracks.
I see it this way, assume they make 20 tracks in a session. 12 make the CD "cut". They put those other 8 tracks up on their site and make a little extra cash for each of those, that they already did the work on. Then maybe one of those takes off and becomes a hit (never know it has happened in the past). |
