I've had the same experience with eVGA, that's the reason I always go back to them for new cards. They are extremely helpful, and also the only ones to have a TRUE lifetime warranty on their cards...
Most manufacturers only have a lifetime warranty while the card is still considered a current card, and in production. Also, eVGA allows you to change the heatsink without voiding the warranty, just keep the original heatsink in case there's an issue.
You shouldn't have any problems with your new card and your system. It uses the same driver that the 7900 did, should be able to put it in and be back up and running in a few minutes. |
