The fan seems rather quiet to me at full speed and it is still an excellent hsf for being two years old.

There is a lengthy thread over at xtremesystems about the new G0 stepping q6600 that discusses high load temp readings and many people are suspecting that coretemp and TAT are misreading the temps on the new G0 q6600's. You wouldn't happen to have a G0 stepping q6600 would you? They are speculating that perhaps speedfan is reading proper temps.
