This sounds like some kind of mob brutality that springs up in the Middle East, not the US... Sick.

But what the hell kind of celebration is that anyway? Celebrating that it took over 2 years for your town to find out about something... and not the date of the actual event. Sure, they didn't have the Internet, but the telegraph existed then... Horse? Train?
