Even with a non-working battery, if the power brick is getting the right polarity and voltage to it, it should work.
Since you don't get any lights or any sort of startup/spinup action, i'm guessing it's a NO power, or something is really fried inside.
I'd open it up a look (starting at the power inlet jack) for fuses/CB's or burnt/broken ( or missing)components
with a multimeter you should be able to figure out how far the power is getting.
Another possiblity is the power on switch is broken, or the power down when close switch is stuck/thinking it's closed |
