OK, I know a few of you are big time Linux bigots so I figured I'd get your suggestions and experiences.
Right now my e-mail server is VERY old, like the hardware is at least 5 yrs old and the software hasn't had an update in 3 yrs. The AV has been kept up to-date but the rest hasn't. Various reason (such as paid upgrades that I didn't feel worthy). Now however it is so far behind in technology that it might as well not have any anti-spam capabilities.
I am currently hosting some businesses e-mail and if they continue with me then I already have a plan (one of which is they are paying for all the upgrades). If not, then I'm going to go as cheap as possible which means... FREE! Because I'll be upgrading the hardware so no extra really for software.
I'm looking for something very cheap to free, should be easy enough to manage (don't have time to spend a day configuring then several hours a week maintaining). MUST have SSL abilities web mail abilities, handle multiple domains & account alias. Would like calendering and contacts, and VERY important is Anti-Spam & Anti-Virus. Also doing updates needs to be very easy to do - Again time thing.
Now, it doesn't HAVE to run under *nix, but I have a feeling that'll be the place where I can get all of that for little to nothing in software. |
