Additional note, that as far as I know other than PC Power & Cooling all PSU makers rate their PSU's at max power under a temp of 25C. Which is way cooler than it will really be used at. When you up the temp, you lower the out put.

fwiw,
Corsairs HX series (mfg by seasonic) are rated at 50c.

drfan,

I've read reports of people getting their GTS's and in some cases GTX's to work on psu's that would seem under rated for the job. The problem is that determining whether a psu has enough juice can be a very spotty prospect. Just because one persons 480W neo power works is no guarantee that another persons will also work. As Cheezy said, operating temp can play a big role in this. People usually sidestep the issue by buying more power than they actually need. System mfg's are able to get away with lower wattage psu's because they are able to test their systems and know exactly how much current draw they use as well as what temps their psu's operate at when running in the system. If you're confident it's not your psu, you might want to think about an OS wipe and re-install. Sometimes driver cleaner isn't enough.

*edit*
Just thought of something, what happens if you put your 6800gt back in the system? Have you tried a different driver?
