I'm gonna hold out as long as I can. My next upgrade has to be a good one, one that'll hold me over for a few years.
I'm going the AMD 4x4 route, with (2) GF 8800 series cards. The only thing I wanna upgrade in the next couple years will be the CPUs to quad core units of AMD's K8L series. The K8L's will have a new cache structure and instruction sets similar to the Conroe's. Basically they will have everything that the Conroe's have going for them, plus AMD's superior bus and interface designs. |
