Most, if not all P-ATA drives will work on all ATA motherboards.

If you put a ATA133 harddrive on a mobo with ATA33, 66, or 100 - it will only operate at the max speed of the mobo. Vice-versa applies to ATA133 mobo and a ATA33 or even an old PIO mode drive.

The arrangement will work at the speed of the slowest device.

Also, ATA66 and faster drives/mobos need the 80 conductor ribbons. ATA33 and all PIO mode drives only need the 40 conductor ribbons.

Capacity issues can occur with really old motherboards, I'm talking 6 or more years old, when used in conjunction with today's super capacity drives. ..but you're probably safe.
