I have had the opportunity (thanks to Knight) to play with Vista.
It is bloat, it is resource hungry, its BEAUTIFUL, it is the future.
XP was slammed and battered when it first came out as a resource hog also. When XP became available my pentium 100 with 32 MB of ram was suffering and needed a ton of the bloat shut off to run respectfully.
My machines evolved and XP became simple to run.
I have installed a total of 4 different Linux OSes and only got frustrated each time. I blame this on my 38 years being on this planet and inability to learn a whole new language just to check email, browse Bigbruin, and play a few games.
If I was "back in the day" I would very much be on the cutting edge of Linux and all about it.
HOWEVER, most of the world will find Vista installed on their next Dell, Best Buy, Circuit City puirchased machine and will oogle and fondle it like it is GOD.
This I cannot prevent.
I now return to my plasma, PPV and Whiskey... |
