went to a microsoft - connects event today -and being a smart @@@ i ask the question to the microsoft rep who was showing us all Vista . he said it will run on 512 mb ram as far as he was aware . but he did make a point to tell everyone to run Vista (longhorn ) you have to have a min of 128 mb video card .
he also informed us all . that on the final release of Vista that all 5 version will be on the same CD .and the serial no. you have to put in will tell the computer what version to load .

also if you dont sign into microsoft toregister Vista in the alloted time frame the OS will shut down .and all you be able to do is use Internet Explorer for 1 hour at a time .to give you time to activate the program . if you dont activate in that one hour .the system shuts down till the next day and then it will do this all over again .till you call or use Internet Explorer to active !
