During tech school (1988-1990) I owned a 1970 toyota Hilux pickup that was not quite a whole vehicle. It did not have an accelerator pedal or any one single straight body panel. I had to drive it with a string I had sticking out of the dash tied to the carburetor. The clutch never disengaged but that didnt matter, you didnt need it to shift.
I paid $200.00 for the toyota.
Later on I bought a $300 1983 Mustang (the first of the fox body 5.0's) it was a Notch back and if you opened the passenger door it would fall off the car. It had one good brake in the front. Fast as hell though.
Probably my most hated car came after the Mustang. I must have had a metrosexual moment and bought a 1988 Pontiac Fiero. Talk about ghey!!! It did get good gas mileage and cornered like a go-cart but I still couldnt get over driving a chick car. |
