I just have to mention that I got a new DFI mATX MB in the mail tonight and had a chance to look it over.
This thing seems to be designed from the ground up to be a HTPC motherboard.
Socket 939 (with a good sink you could run one of these chips with NO fan.)
4x DDR slots
Firewire
Optical Port (ALC 850 sound)
DVI and VGA ports
Svideo and RGB out
ATI X300 Chipset
Gigalan
All that and only $83.00 bucks.
Rumor has it that it will overclock too.
