Well.. My IBM laptop has had two hard drive failures and now the fan is going out so everytime I reboot I spray compressed air on it so it will spin and it finally kicks in.
From what I understand, Lenovo took a lot of IBM employees with them. However, they have since trained their own people and started layoffs. So, my guess is the new rounds of laptops will go down in reliability, and you'd be surprised to know IBM board members play golf with the board at Consumer Reports.....or so the rumor says.
I also dislike IBM/Lenovo and I'd hate to see them get any additional money if I can help it.
Oh and the support is AWFUL... They read from a script.. they told a friend she needed to call the help center in Guatemala, because she lived in New Mexico... WTF? These people have Ph.Ds, but lack geography skills... Whatever.
