Most people I see that had carpal tunnel from PC work had the back of their keyboard jacked up with the bottom extension legs.
As soon as some of those people layed flat the keyboard and reaclimated to the angle - the less problems they had. Most ergo boards still have the upward angle and only provide partial relief by eliminating the side angle.
It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out that you have to use additional muscles to pull your hand back for an upwardly angled keyboard. Hell, I was 11 years old using Commodores and TRS-80 and I figured that out by myself. ...been using PC's ever since with no hand/wrist issues.
The natural relaxed state of your hands and wrists somewhat resembles the stereotypcial hand posture for flaming gay men. NOT angled back. |
