I would personally not suggest a chap sound card for an HTPC, since it's connected to a real sound system. A lot of cheap sound cards and motherboard audio codecs don't have a flat frequency response(Higher-end and bass missing), are noisy or have other problems. Even Creative, while pretty decent, doesn't make the best sounding cards out there. Look at Auzentech, M-Audio or other a bit audiophile-oriented companies. |
