Trying to accomplish a virtual office sort of setup.
Really quick before I start, here is what we have:
user1 - Main system (1.a) dual monitor - Windows Pro
Secondary computer (1.b) single monitor - Linux
user2 - Main system (2.a) single monitor - Windows Home
Secondary (2.b) single monitor - Linux
Now, what we want to do, is use our secondary computers to remote desktop into each other's main setups in view only mode, so we can in effect "be right next to each other". Now, I've tried a couple of remote desktoping services. They either A. Don't allow dual monitor viewing, or B. Refresh far too slowly, defeating the purpose of this setup.
Does anyone have any experience with view only remote desktoping that can basically transfer visuals real time (with dual monitors being a must)?
I've looked at VNC, however it seems that passwords are stored in plaintext, which I'm not a huge fan of. So if anyone has any alternative suggestions, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
