I use remote desktop on a daily basis at work.
When I open a remote desktop to my SQL server, I can do anything on that server as if I was sitting there. Obviously it's just a little slower than sitting there.
From my desk (about 400 miles from the server), I installed SQL server 2005, did the configuration, and do all the maintenance from my desk. The ONLY thing I can not do, is put a CD into the computer if I need it. Or power it back on, if I accidentally turn it off, or power goes off that is not caught by the UPS. |
