I was wandering through Fry's yesterday looking for something to pick up for my daughters B-day.
I came upon a detachable speaker boom box type of thing and had to do a double take.
This thing is incredible, AM/FM, CD, CD-RW, MP3 (not the suprising part) It has a CAT 5 plug on the back and streams live Internet radio, but, the truly exciting part is the fact that it also streams any MP3's you have on any networked PC!!!
So in one little 50 watts per channel box, my kid has access to 11,081 MP3 songs, and 2000 radio stations fee free, (for a monthly fee, she could have TONS more commercial free streams).
It shows you artist, album, title and all the rest of the good stuff, it is MusicMatch enabled and you can create playlists on your PC. If you hear something that you like, you hit a button and it emails you a huge amount of information about the band, song, etc...
The damn thing even emailed me after I told it my address!!!
Heres the kicker - this thing only cost me $79.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (In store deal)
Check it out here Philips Streamium MCi-200 (the MCi-250 adds wireless G connectivity) |
