Hi all, I'm a bit stumped here.

I just put a Radeon 9600 in the machine I use to watch .AVIs and DVDs on, and I keep getting a lousy picture. I don't know wether to call it banding or shearing, but what happens is, whenever there's movement in the image, an horizontal "split" line appears between one frame and the next as if the image didn't have time to refresh fast enough between frames. It's very annoying.

I thought I'd enable vertical sync, but I can't find that setting in Catalyst!

The 9600 should be able to display video without any shearing; it should be good enough for 720p. And I don't think it's the codec as I've tried in many different programs. Any ideas?

Thanks for any hint.
