Car PCs might not need super peformance, and I had thought of using thumb drives (remember my thumb drive RAID experiment?  ).
I originally assumed these were connected through the PCI bus, but now see they have a SATA connector... Specifically SATA 1.5 Gbps. Huh? That seems like a limitation, with SATA 3 Gbps readily available.
Plus, the Gigabyte page says they are for Gigabyte motherboards only, and only specific chipsets as well... That seems fishy. |
