Hi BigBruin! Thanks for the great review of the NexStar 3 enclosure. Based partly on this review, I decided to purchase it.
In my instance, there are a couple of issues I'd like to note about the activity LED. For one, it appears that it doesn't blink when using eSATA. And in my unit, the light actually doesn't blink when the unit is closed up. I'm guessing that mine has a defect that shorts a connection or something, so I get no activity LED (even on USB2) unless I pull the cover off a milimeter or more. Strange.
I've already contacted Vantec about this problem. I don't really want to have to RMA it, but c'est la vie. I could probably just live without a blinky light at the end of the day  |
