8?-/94-5 gateway sold more machines on the corporate level than Dell as a percentage of market cap.
I serviced (NO! EC NOT like that!) thousand of these "cow boxes" most at sub 100 seat clients. (I hated them, but the onsite IT staffs loved the ads.)
at least until the warranty was up. then they dumped them rather the pay for the overpriced parts (if available)
Somewhere it all went wrong (even Ted Wiatt?) has run away now. |
