I build them for friends/family/acquintances. Just a matter of them knowing what their use of it is going to be. Typically I'll get a $ amount from them, and give them what I would recommend depending on their needs. Then recommend them to Dell/Gateway/etc.
Unless of course they want to learn how to put them together, then I teach them the basics, and what they need to get. Then they go off and get their list of stuff they would like for us to review. Then comes out my red pen to make updates for them 
I play MMO's with probably about 50 people and that's how I do it with them. Tell them to put together what they would like, and then I make recommended changes. Sometimes they just go to online places (recently four of them have bought systems from Ibuypower.com and had good luck with them). |
