Nope, LED are polorized and it's a DC current so it SHOULDN'T be on at all with the connector reversed.
The fact (if we can trust BB's observation) indicates a defect.
Assuming you have the right header do you have a spare LED/wire/plug to recheck that the MB is normal? if so
I'm guessing a factory miss/crosswiring in the front panel harness or a MB to case short or a PSU defect, in order of probability.
None are good. Might be RMA time |
